The officials of the Electoral fraud crime commission(EFCC) Invaded Ekiti state university today 7th of august, 2019 and made away with scores of students suspected to be yaboo boys, this action caused unrest in the school as members of the student union government led other aggrieved student to protest the continous disturbance of students by the EFCC officials, eyewitness affirmed that the social director of the sug of the school, comrade Temmytee was almost shot by the INVADERS while she was trying to protest the arrest of the suspects.
The efcc officials are said to be headed towards Federal university Oye-ekiti to possibly continue the raid on the alleged internet fraudsters.
It will be remembered that EKSU S. U. G president, comrade Gbadero had earlier written an open letter to the state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi to address the assault on innocent students, however, no action has been taken by the state government.
In recent development, the sug president has claimed that the protest will continue until the arrested students are released. Also, a representative of the government has spoken to the students that the release of the arrested boys is imminent and that the governor has set up a security summit where students will be able to explain to the state governor the state of security as witnessed in Eksu recently.
